Anatomy: A Love Story by Dana Schwartz
4.0

"Isn't all science magic to those who don't understand it?"

I've been a huge fan of the Lore podcast for years. When Dana Schwartz joined the team and started the Noble Blood podcast, I listened to every episode. I love her voice and the way she retells history. So naturally, when I learned that she was writing a book, I was eager to read it. And then the book was released with this captivating cover art?! I had to pre-order it.

This book is an excellent gothic mystery with plenty of suspense. It is about surgeons, so there are some bloody and graphic descriptions.

"Every one of us deserves to die, it is our only birthright."

Jack is the main male character, working as a resurrection man. Digging up dead bodies for study is something that has fascinated me for years and always provides a good story line. I enjoyed Hazel and her progressive nature. At first, I felt like the middle of the story was dragging on but then the end!! The reader discovers that the events of the book are all connected and minor details from early on play a role in the big twists at the end.

I hope Dana has plans to write another novel!
