Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine
by Gail Honeyman
Actual rating: 4.5/5 stars
I am happy to say that I really enjoyed this! I was a bit unsure the first 50 pages. Eleanor drove me insane. I didn’t really like her character at all. But I stuck through because my sister was like you got to read this! So I did and she definitely grew on me as a character.
Eleanor grew as a character as the book went on. I still found her a bit annoying. But she grew on me as time went on. She’s stuck in her ways. You really don’t know much about her until the novel goes onward. She developed well throughout this.
My issue and main was she annoyed me. I feel like Eleanor was the only real focus for the book. The rest of the characters you really don’t get a full view on. They’re just kind of there.
Raymond was wonderful. I did quite love how presh he is of a man.
It surprised me with how much crap Eleanor was really hiding away, trying to just push out or her memories because of the trauma of it all.
It grew on me and I ended up really enjoying this!
