Adored Daughter of Fortune, this starts strong but ultimately peters off to become dull and meandering. Aurora has such potential but she's just not as dynamic or interesting as Eliza, and there's little driving force in the plot. The middle of the book is just a lot of domestic drama that isn't even that dramatic, and often written very passively.
I'll still read more of this author, I just wished for more from this book because I was so invested in Eliza and later Lynn, and then Aurora. Paulina ended up being my favorite in the book. All her scenes were a delight and I loved following her as much as Eliza.
