When I saw this book, I wondered why it needed 600 pages. But the more I got into Rafa and Ellie's story the more I got it, they needed time to heal themselves, they needed to make mistakes and try again, and make more mistakes, and apologize and grow. This was beautiful, warm, and fusy, but deep and fun. How Rafa learned to accept that his son could have someone else to rely on, instead of being sad and feeling that he wasn't enough was amazing to read. How Ellie learned her value in life and to fight for what was her right set an amazing example.
This book is one of the reasons I love reading and I can't wait to Lorenzo and Lily's story.
