I read so many books hoping to find one that challenges and moves me like this. Babel is a beautifully written exploration of academia, imperialism, language, and identity. This is the first book by Kuang that I've read but it certainly won't be the last.
Graphic: Xenophobia, Toxic friendship, Sexual harassment, Colonisation, Child abuse, Grief, and Racism
Moderate: Trafficking, Suicidal thoughts, Drug use, Classism, and Death
