I really enjoyed the overall message in this book — being brave and enduring all that may come your way. I think the author represented PTSD really accurately for Ada and Susan continued to be an amazing caretaker for her. The middle of the book sort of dragged on for me with a lot of repetition and the “big” twists were pretty predictable, but this was still overall a good book. I also appreciated seeing growth in all of the characters, especially Lady Thornton.
