Harrow Lake by Kat Ellis

2.0

This book started off so well, it gripped me and I was drawn to the main character Lola.
However, as the book progressed I felt it was incredibly jumpy and somewhat ‘all over the place’. I found myself confused by what was actually going on and what it all meant.
I’ve been left with a lot of unanswered questions; such as: what actually happened to the Grandmother and that strange attic room? What happened to weirdo Larry? What happened to all the missing girls and what significance were they?
It felt like several different plots mixed together, with an ending that had little thought and imagination.
