I remember when news spread out about Adam Mansbach's first book and the controversy that he had written a children's book meant for Adults. At first I thought I would not read the book but one day during the book fair, I encountered the book and immediately picked it up and fell in love with it for being hilarious and true about the complications of putting your child to sleep.
So when I heard that he wrote a second book, I immediately put my info into the giveaways and I am excited that I got the sequel, You Have to Fucking Eat. This illustration is different from the first book but it does not interrupt the flow of humor this book will bring to your life! The book essentially deals with kids who cause much trouble when it comes to eating on time and eating their food. My favorite part when the father says, "Now you are hungry? Well fuck that cause the kitchen is closed" I was in tears when I read that page and made me fall in love with this book.
If you love the first one, then the second one is going to be fantastic for you and I am so grateful that I have this book in my private book collection! Thank you Akashic Books!
