The Case for Jamie
by Brittany Cavallaro
If this book had the same plot but different characters I’m sure I’d have loved it.
But alas, I was stuck with these same sad characters as they moped about and reminisced. Let’s start with Charlotte: We now have her perspective, and I’m not sure if cynical, woe-is-me ramblings about her sad life make more interesting filler than Jamie’s pathetic infatuation. Especially in the beginning, I wanted her to get over herself and act like a decent human for once.
And Jamie! How could I forget the whinging, pathetic mess that is one Jamie Watson? He was being terrible towards everyone around him and I eventually got so annoyed with him treating Elizabeth rudely and acting like he was in the right that I had to put this down for a while.
Maybe it’s just me, but I didn’t much like this one.
