Most of this book feels like filler and could probably have been condensed and much shorter.
It's very relationship focused and shifts the love triangle with Libby & Milo firmly from Lance to Braden. For what it is, it's very convincingly written and feels like genuine teenage angst. However it's not really what I was interested in with this series. I enjoyed the more action focused parts and finding out more about the ciphers.
Braden is in his twenties and aggressively pursuing a 16 year old which is very sus. He's in a position of authority over her as the Guardian working at her school and its never raised by other characters as an issue. Milo is too busy being jealous and possessive to actually care.
