The first time I read this was as an adult in my 20s when my roommate, an elementary school teacher like me, handed it to me and suggested I read it because it was a great book.
It was a Saturday and I spent hours in bed reading through the entire thing. I didn't want to put it down.
I'm now 50 years old and have read this book to my son and daughter (now ages 11 and 9) and I still think Holes is original, unique, and well-crafted.
