Let's be honest, the only reason I even have this book is because my cousin absolutely loved it and gave it to me for my birthday. (I feel like I should mention that, just a week before that, she gushed about it to me and my reaction was, literally, 'uh-huh, if you say so'. How that somehow gave her the impression that I wanted to read this thing is beyond me.)
I read the first chapter. I may have even read the second one. And then I started skipping pages, then half of a chapter, then... I was bored to tears. Or rather sleep. Add to that, that the writing style isn't my cup of tea at all, and you have a recipe for disaster.
In the meantime my cousin kept asking me if I'd already read the book and how I liked it... no comment.
