It has taken me years to finally read this. It was an exceedingly slow read for me...I would read sections and literally fall asleep. Toward the end, it felt like I was reading Desperate and Real Housewives of Old Russia. It was an excellent book and while tragic; shows the fragility of the human spirit and how love can make and/or break you.
