Gosh, this story is so heartbreakingly emotional. I'm not sure I've come across a more broken character than Jace. His hurt bled onto the the pages. I thought this story was so compelling because it was real, messy and a reminder that life can be hard. Jace had pretty much checked out of his life and when Sydney came along, he slowly started to change. These two characters had major trust issues. The plot was interesting and kept me interested the whole way. I was holding myself together pretty well and then... not so much. My poor heart took a little beating but by the end was put back together. Truly so well written.
