Read this after i watched the netflix adaptation and wow they definitely changed the approach of the storyline.
In the book, we got more of a backstory of Idroes Moeria and Soedjagad's childhood, how they become friends and eventually turned nemesis. Im also very captivated by the love story between Idroes Moeria and Roemaisa. idk why they did not included this to the adaptation, sayang sih....tapi mungkin memang mereka mau fokus sama story nya Dasiyah dan Soeraja.
And thats what lead into my other opinion, dimana gue lebih suka karakter Dasiyah di series nya ketimbang di buku, bcs the book didn't showcased a lot of Dasiyah's emotion compare to the series. The ending felt rushed too.
Overall gue gak bisa fully-immersed ke buku in sepenuh nya, begitu pula ke series nya karena keduanya sama-sama nanggung
