Captivating, dark and beautiful. I don't know how to put into words my feelings for this book. The writing and themes felt so personal to me. I loved the main character, the pacing was great and the atmosphere spellbinding. It feels like an amalgamation of all my gothic favourites like Dracula, Wuthering Heights and Jane Eyre whilst still bringing originality. Easily one of the best books I've read this year, likely also an all time fave. I absolutely love it.
