Queen of Vengeance by Jessica Jude

ARC Review;

I had the absolute honor to receive this as my first ARC, and I have to say, Jessica did NOT disappoint. I laughed, I cried, I giggled, I blushed, my heart throbbed, and so much more.

Lux is one of the world's most renowned socialites and probably the richest too. She has more money than anyone could ever dream of, but she's got the weight of the world on her shoulders. As you get to know Lux more and more throughout the book, you really can't help but feel for the gal. With having an absentee father (for the most part), emotionally unavailable mother, the constant drag of keeping up with her reputation, and very crappy ex; she's built walls higher than The Millau Viaduct. Although she's been through it, she's still extremely humble, unapologetically herself, and deeply layered. I love her for it.

Slate, on the other hand, doesn't have many riches or fame. He comes from the crappier side of town and has to work for what he has while doing anything to take care of his sick sister, including some morally grey ways
