Run, Rose, Run
by Dolly Parton, James Patterson
I loved the country music elements to this book, I thought it covered current, real world issues with care & honesty, and I felt like the country music scene was a fair representation of Nashville.
However, the combination of Dolly & JP didn’t work for me. The story of a rising country star could have, and perhaps should have, been a standalone story. The thriller elements fell flat & often I felt like I was reading two completely different books.
For a book with such strong female representation I was bitterly disappointed in the ending.
