I just can't get over the double standards this book has, and how quickly everyone just accepts them. I expected America to make a fuss about said double standards, but old mate let me down because she was too busy flitting about in her Bermuda love triangle.

But God forbid America still has feelings for her ex first love you both discussed in the first book I mean who the hell would still have feelings for someone they were in love with for two years after spending a few months at a palace with a prince who's acting like a colossal douche ignoring her, and said first love, who is present and saying everything right.
Maxon wants to make out with multiple women? Sure. That's cool. Vibin'.
Any of the Selection /fall in love with someone else/, kiss, and intend to marry? LASHES AND CASTE STRIPPING.
Literally what the hell. Way to make your subjects detest your leadership. Wouldn't expect any kind of rebellion whatsoever. 10/10. Needs to be advertised as comedy, not dystopian.
