A Storm of Swords: Steel and Snow
by George R.R. Martin
I am on the third book now, it is safe to say I love this series. The characters are all so developed and stand out on the page. The story line is always moving forwards, although at a very slow pace.
The one thing I had a problem with in this is book is Arya's chapters. I like the character of Arya, although she is not my favourite character but in this book she is just getting shipped around. It is getting dull, I kind of want her back with Catelyn just so there is some development of her storyline that isn't being taken by yet another castle.
Jaime is really coming into his own, Sansa has had yet another cruel twist of Lannister planning, Davos is actually interesting in this one, Daenerys is doing amazing things while still being rather naive at the same time and Robb is exactly the same. It is a shame they will probably never meet really.
I think the only major downside is when they split the book into two paperbacks, where the split it isn't enough to make you want to pick up the second half straight away. While I own the second half and I will read it soonish. If I didn't own it I wouldn't have rushed out to buy it.
