Homecoming by Kate Morton

3.0

1) I may have just added a new destination to my travel bucket list. I might have even started planning an itinerary. I just need to figure out how to manage my fear of spiders in a place where spiders might be as big as my hand.

2) I hadn't considered before this how upsetting a true crime novel might be to the real life family members. I really liked In Cold Blood, for example, but I can see now how disquieting that could have been for the people who were connected to the event.

Ironically, I seem to be the only one who found the true crime novel within the story upsetting. None of the connected characters seemed bothered by it at all.

Essentially, this plot device kind of bothered me.

3) People are messy. Life is complicated. Choices are hard. Truth is elusive. I'm getting more patient with ambiguity as I get older.
