The amount of information being thrown at me the whole time was very overwhelming. It felt like the author didn't trust her readers to figure out bad vs good and went into more depth than needed, in my opinion, on etymology. I just was more interested than the fantasy world than all the explanations of words and I got more etymology than anything. I wasn't attached to any of the characters and felt like they were the background to their own story.
