As a standalone Christmas romance, I'd give it about 3.5 stars. As a part of the Lakeshore Chronicles, I'd give it 2. I was very disappointed in Logan's book. He is the "ex" of Daisy Bellamy (from Book 8). Earlier in the series, Wiggs made us root for Greg (book 3--Dockside) and then just as much for Sophie, Greg's ex-wife (in Book 4--Snowfall at Willow Lake). It was very hard to root for Logan. He had so much unprocessed trauma with his drinking, and his relationship with his dad, not to mention the collapse of his marriage. None of that was addressed. It was like, "I'm ready for a girlfriend, too bad my parents like this girl, but I'll give it a try anyway." Just not what I was hoping for.
