The Casquette Girls
by Alys Arden
The Casquette Girls is a hauntingly beautiful story that is deeply rooted in rich New Orleans culture. There’s also the history of magic and vampires present throughout the story. I fell in love with this world and the characters.
As I started this book, I noticed it was a bit slow going. I stopped a few times because it was slow. I kept waiting for more to happen. There is quite a bit of backstory and building of the worlds. Once I hit part two though, I was like ooooh here we go! I see what you did Miss Arden!
I finished the book and kind of sat there like, wow. Mind blown. I see a trip to New Orleans in my future.
I got to meet Alys Arden at Hallowread two years ago. Her books caught my eye. She was super nice and had really cool Tarot Cards as swag! Yes I am just reading them. I’m glad I finally did!! I am hooked and Miss Arden has a new fan. If you’re a fan of magic and paranormal, this book and series is for YOU! I give this 5 stars!
