Not my first from Sloane St. James, this isn’t her best but then again, I believe this is her debut, so it’s understandable that this was nothing to write home about.
The storyline was interesting but felt like more could have been done. Lonan & Birdie (Bridget) are a good couple but their relationship was rushed.I couldn’t believe Lonan proposed just to “keep” her from going back to Vancouver. And then later, his “proposal” (if you can even call it that!) is done during sex!! This is supposed to be a romance & that wasn’t at all romantic
This book did not put me off the rest of the series, I hope it gets better. I know I like Sloane’s writing because I loved Fight (book one in the Sky Ridge Hotshots series) & decided to read her back catalogue.
