really good! I listed via audiobook and i really enjoyed Adepero’s narration performance! first book i’ve finished of the new year and off to a good start.

i enjoy the straightforwardness and semi nonchalant tone toward these heinous acts that the author takes on and think it makes for a unique read. also unique- it feels like a come of age book without much character development.

Oyinkan Braithwaite kept it light and humorous, and although i enjoy more gore and thrill, it was the perfect balance for the story. this book really isn’t hitting the mark for mystery for me though?

I feel sad to the end that Korede is continuously looped into her sisters genuinely sociopathic behaviors knowing she will never have that love and care reciprocated, but that would be an insanely hard experience.

I really enjoyed Oyinkan’s writing style as well and thought the “chapter” names were unique.

would recommend giving this a read!!
