oh wow, this book was the perfect example that sometimes pushing through can be so worth it. at the beginning, i was having a rough experience because of how childish all the interactions between emily and jack were when they were “nemesis”, because cmon guys you are grown adults and these scenes were giving teenagers 100%, and that’s the only reason this story ended up not being a 5 star read.

once that part was left behind, it was a full masterpiece. as someone who’s started reading sarah adams’ books ages ago, it’s noticeable how she’s grown as a writer with this story.

i really really loved this one! jack the man that you are ❤️

also, i can’t believe we only have one last story in rome left :( so bittersweet. and i have a feeling maddie’s book is going to be another huge hit!
