There are so many things that I can say about this book. I don't want to spoil it for anyone who hadn't read it as of yet. I will share my thoughts:

When I initially started the story, one thing I noticed was how descriptive K.Lashaun was. I enjoyed that she took the time to make sure that you were involved in the world of Sierra Falls. I loved that I could visualize everything that I was reading.

Next, I appreciated the hustle that Garryn had. She had a passion and she was working hard towards it. She was met by adversity, ofcourse, but she didn't back down from what she knew she wanted. She was very strong willed and sometimes that may have made her bite her words but I can see this personality on many women who are doing things for themselves.

Verse Presley. Let's take a moment and appreciate him in all of his BDE glory. I LOVED VERSE. He was a hustler in every sense of the word and didnt take no mess off anyone. He made sure that you came to him correct and I loved the back and forth that he had with Garryn when they first met. I knew he had the biggest heart by how he moved and all I could do was blush every time he did something "Boss" like.

I think the supporting actor in all of this was my boy Hakeem "Keem". Let me tell you. His loyalty is unmatched. He was a big man of so few words but when he spoke, He SPOKE. The way that he took up for Verse and spoke highly of him said all that was needed. I know his story will be amazing.

Garryn's mom was someone I wanted to slap. She was materialistic and that nicely put. Thats all the energy I will give her.

My heart went out to Onyx. I loved him.

I said all this to say that I truly loved this story. It was my first book by this author and will not be my last. It was definitely a contemporary love story and I didn't feel like there were a bunch of unneccesary words but I was full. I am in awe of these two. I can't wait to read the next book in this series.
