A Vow So Bold and Deadly by Brigid Kemmerer
4.0

It was really fun to dive into the final installment of this series. I’ve been constantly impressed by how readable this series is and this book was no exception. Sometimes it’s fun to just fly through a book!

I think for a final book in a series, I wanted more closure than I got, especially for Rhen. Grey definitely grew on me throughout the series and I was really excited to see the way his arc turned out. But Rhen felt so morally grey, so traumatized that I still wasn’t sure how I felt about him when the book ended and after reading 3 400+ page books about him, I wanted to feel a little more secure. I also felt like
Spoiler Lilith’s abuse was sometimes just too much. Like it started off horrific in the first book, so I felt like by the third everything she did had to be over the top treacherous which read a bit like trauma p*rn.

I was happy to see how the series ended and I already miss the characters!
