Cats? Yes! Girls who fight back? Yes! Parody ads? Yes! Wait -- no, too much, where'd the story go?
That's how I felt working my way through this well-illustrated series. I realize there are more volumes after this, which may continue the story, but Vol. 1 ends with a fake magazine, Cat Fight. It's cleverly done, but an unsatisfying way to end the volume.
Lots of details went into the graphic design within the series, like the flyers, posters, labels, and ads, so it's fun to look at, but the story gets lost in it all. Hoping the next volumes have more substance.
