“Why do you have to be so perfect?” I asked, a mixture of warmth and annoyance filling my tone. “Because I live to piss you off.”

I finished this book in just one sitting! The banter between Linc & Arden made it impossible for me to put it down! Arden was closed off, tough and vulnerable but I loved how Linc didn't judge her and slowly coaxed her out of her shell. It was heartwarming to see how they both became each other's anchors and because of that, I felt like Arden definitely met her match with Linc. The plot twists were very thrilling and some were even unpredictable and the side characters made the story even more fun to read! It's always such a delight to see the Colson family come together to take care of their own (I just loved how they all showed up whenever Arden needed them). There was a perfect balance of romance, tension, thrill, humor, mystery and grief in the story, which I liked. Overall, this was an enjoyable read. I loved how the relationship development between Linc & Arden wasn't rushed. Catherine's writing just makes me feel fully connected with all the characters and this series just keeps getting better and better. And I'm so pumped up for the next book already!!! 👀
