I am so confused. Confused with the high ratings, confused with my rating, confused with everything basically.
I had high expectations for this when I picked it up because of the very high ratings and also the interesting premise.

What I got: Some dude stalking a MINOR for 6 YEARS. She was TEN. Then he kidnaps her and brings her to literally the middle of nowhere for the sole purpose of COMPANY, and because he knew since she was ten that she was DIFFERENT.
Then he expects her to love the place, promising that he would never hurt her. What on earth? I read through the whole thing expecting something different—a page turner, but it all fell short and guess what? THE WHOLE BOOK WAS A LETTER. Miss girlie was drugged and traumatized but still managed to make a whole ass book detailing everything. She remembers more than I do in a day. Even drugged.

I'mma give ya'll a breakdown of this book:
Girlie gets in a fight with her mom at the airport-talks to some random dude who has 'startling blue eyes'-gets drugged and kidnapped to Australia-tries to escape-can't escape-gets rebellious-guy tells her she can leave after four months-starts liking guy-gets bitten by a snake-guy turns himself in-BOOM, it's all a letter. THE END.
