Wait for It
by Mariana Zapata
Going into this book All Rhodes Lead Here was my absolute favorite Mariana Zapata book. After finishing Wait for It, I think the title for first place has been stolen. (I may need an ARLH reread to confirm)
First of all, Diana was an absolute delight as an MC. With all the cards she had been dealt, she somehow made it all work and always came out looking like a super mom/aunt to her 2 boys. She never made it a priority to make sure that people knew she was only the aunt. She dealt with judgment after judgment from so many outside parties. Mainly for her young age and people assuming she was a teen mom. Every time Diana found herself in a situation like this, she acted like the only grown-up and made it seem like it didn't bother her.
Now for Dallas. That man was THE MAN. He became so much more than just the neighbor and baseball coach. He became the best friend and confidant that Diana could always rely on and confide in. Spoiler alert - If a man is willing to help me clean lice out of mine and my children's hair with no strings attached, he's a keeper. I loved their friendship and his small jealous moments.
If I could rate this book higher than 5 stars it would be Infinity stars
