Nerenberg writes about neurodiversity in the context of ADHD, autism, and sensory processing disorder. Although informative, it barely covers the neurological basis for these disorders, which would definitely have brought another dimension to the book.

For a better book on neurodiversity, I would highly recommend Neurotribes by Steve Silberman!
