i LOVED this book. I read it in a night and literally couldn’t put it down. i laughed out loud a couple times which i don’t do much reading, and it definitely had those kicking your feet and giggling moments. it takes a littleeee bit to get going (only a couple chapters, which are short) but once it does (aka gets to present day) it was addicting and really fast paced. charlie and bailey were both really loveable characters, with great chemistry/banter and had a really sweet friends to lovers romance. it definitely got a little frustrating at times with the miscommunication but the dual pov helped with that. the subplots, bailey’s family issues and her best friends relationship, were a little less engaging that the main plot for me but still a fun read. this is a no spoilers review so i won’t give details but if you’ve read it you’ll likely know what i’m referring to when i say that one conflict felt a little too tropey/unneccessary, but other than that it was really very enjoyable. don’t read this if you’re expecting ground breaking poetic writing and plot, but for what it is (a quick, cute, romcom-y, ya read) its great.
