While I didn't love this book as much as the previous three, it was still an enjoyable story. I wasn't crazy about the majority of the book being told through letters from Anne to Gilbert. I found I really missed hearing stories about Avonlea characters, though all of the new characters were interesting as usual. It was fun reading about the Pringles, whom I've already gotten to know through numerous viewings of Anne the Continuing Story miniseries. I also fell in love with little Elizabeth.
