The Last Draig
by J.D. Linton
Honestly, I had high hopes and this just didn't deliver for me. It was very slow and had a lot more spice that seemed very random/filler space. The first 30% of the book was basically just everyone crying; Ara cried, Iaso cried, Ara cried again... Just liked the first book, everything fell into place way too easily and conveniently. I really had to push myself to finish it. The last quarter went by much faster and it was easier to read in one sitting.
Honestly, I liked Livvy and Lee most (two side characters) and even their little love story was very fast. I guess im more of a slow-burn romance than an instant attraction.
Like the first book, there is a death of a character, and while I wished they didn't die, I didn't shed any tears for them even I really did like their character. This book ended on another cliffhanger so I'll probably read it just because the overall concept/storyline is very interesting. But as a whole, I wish more thought and planning happened to cause more twists, turns, and difficulties for the characters.
I recieved an ARC and this is my honest review. I appreciate being selected.
