This was a wild ride of a book. Fantasy with a thread of darkness throughout , in the form of the Erlking.
From blessings from gods in the form of storytelling and gold making, loss and grief of those taken too early and a slow burning romance between two of our main characters, there is something for everyone and keeps you engaged throughout.
You truly feel the grief of her losses alongside Serilda, but equally are passionate for her to succeed - overall I’m anxious to get into the second book and see where her and Gild go and if they succeed in their goals or not.
