Idol by Kristen Callihan

I could not warm up to this story or the characters.
1. I found the way they met completely unrealistic. A guy drunk as a skunk crashes into your lawn and vomits all over it and you decide to take that guy into your house, bathe him, nurse his hangover and then just hang out? Yeah NO, that doesn't happen.

2. They have zero chemistry. Liby and Killian are absolutely not good together. Their interactions are either boring or just completely void of any kind of passion or at least a connection. They have nothing.

3. Do you expect to have a rockstar plow into your garden? No. Would you recognize him upon first meeting him? Maybe not. But: Libby is a big music enthusiast. And the moment he mentions his name she instantly recalls numerous details about the band and the headline they've made. So she's familiar with them. With that in mind, it seems completely unrealistic to have her hang out with Killian for days, studying his tattoos and all and have no idea who he is.

4. While we're on that: why is the guy still hanging around her house days after curing his hangover? She's grumpy and obviously doesn't want him to stay.

5. What a great coincidence that one of the biggest rockstars in the world stumbles upon the one girl in this town that writes amazing songs and has an even more amazing voice! And she doesn't know it!!! Pass me a bucket please.

6. I get that finding your best friend after he tried to commit suicide must be traumatic. I get that it leaves scars and hurts. BUT: when Killian and Jax reunite it's as if the only thing that matters is poor Killian. How depressed he is. How hurt. How difficult it's all been.... HELLO? Your friend tried to kill himself, how about you tone your own pity party down?

In the end I didn't finish the book. I didn't care for the story or the characters in it.
