Christmas Shopaholic
by Sophie Kinsella
I remember first reading Confessions of a Shopaholic years ago and first being introduced to Becky Bloomwood. Her quirky personality and love for shopping, made it from the pages to the big screen.
There have been several books since, over the years, and honestly I haven’t read them. But this cover was too good to pass up that I had to add it to my December reads. After reading Christmas Shopaholic, I can honestly say it was like so time had passed reading about Becky.
She is now Becky Brandon (née Bloomwood), with a husband and a daughter prepping to host Christmas for the first time. It shouldn’t be a big deal, they are her family and friends, right?! Until she quickly realizes that she maybe over her head between the menu (the need for a regular and a Vegan turkey), celebrating other countries (a piñata and caroling was requested by her mother) and trying to find the perfect gift for her husband (besides the same aftershave).
If you were a fan of the Shopaholic series this book is perfect for you. If you haven’t read them before, no worries you don’t need to. You can pick up and read all about Becky Brandon’s (née Bloomwood) first time hosting Christmas and still enjoy the crazy, quirky fun that comes along with her.
Plus this cover is perfect for the holiday!
