Dragons of Spring Dawning by Margaret Weis, Tracy Hickman

3.0

I was pleasantly surprised. This book was actually not half bad. Unfortunately it's weighted down pretty heavily by the previous two books. They hang around the novel's neck like a load stone, pulling it down below the surface leaving it gasping for hair.

Thankfully though references to D&D rules are kept to a minimum and the novel is actually a novel instead of a transcribed D&D game. It even manages to wrap up many of the lose ends. There are a hand full of plot holes left unanswered, especially towards the end, that I assume are deliberately left in order to sell more Dragonlance books.

TL;DR: Acceptable. Not great.
