I am not usually one for mythology retells....I normally much prefer fairytale retells. I feel like I have been spoiled by Rick Riordan, but this is a delightful retelling of Hades and Persephone.

Normally I find their tale to be the hardest to retell, mostly do to how closely related they can be and a lot of other authors love using an age dynamic that I am not to keen of. This retelling just kinda retcons that and for once, I'm not gonna complain. Retelling mythology sometimes needs retconning to make it palatable to modern audiences and some mythology authors are too much of purists to do so.

10/10 read gonna move onto the next one now.
