A Bitter Feast by Deborah Crombie

Deborah Crombie writes characters who are easy to love and her descriptions of the Cotswolds' make me feel as if I am there. This series always has a good quality mystery with red herrings and twists-- they are not easy to solve. The back stories of the secondary characters lend a flavor of authenticity to them --they grow and expand as well as the main characters do. A really great mystery series for fans of Louise Penny and William Kent Kruger .
