McFadden masterfully switches between timelines and narrators, building tension with every chapter. The unreliable characters, the dark secrets, and the unexpected twists make it nearly impossible to put the book down.
I hadn’t read a thriller in a while, and wow, The Boyfriend gave me chills. From the very first chapter, I was hooked.
