The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes by Suzanne Collins

5.0

I couldn't put this book down!! I loved this book in the same way as I loved 1984 - I felt the raw emotions of the main character and had empathy towards them, but at the same time I took gleeful joy in disliking their flawed morals and the choices they made along the way.

A really clever way of not only strengthening the Hunger Games books but also adding a new perspective. I loved the easter eggs to the trilogy along the way but I would honestly read this as a stand-alone book too!
