Elizabeth Is Missing by Emma Healey

emotional reflective sad

3.5

This was a sad book about an old lady who's an unreliable narrator due to her dementia. The author did an incredible job of capturing the confusion and anxiety that dementia causes, especially through the use of mixed timelines without any announcement - Maud could remember things from her childhood with such clarity, but had no recollection of things that happened more recently. I felt like I could guess what had happened to Elizabeth, but I still felt stressed by not knowing.
