I loved this! It started out a little slow for me but in the end, I really enjoyed where the story went. Rosie is a flawed character. She makes some poor decisions in my mind in not being honest but that’s what made her real to me. Her personal growth throughout the story was so well done and I loved the message of not giving up on your dream but also being willing to shift when needed.

The romance was so sweet! I loved Booker and how he pursued Rosie even with the unknowns of where they would find themselves at the end of the summer. I also loved that it was paced just right with a budding friendship that turns to more as they spend more time together. There were such tender moments between them and some sweet kisses. He supported her but also made her do some hard thinking as well.

Arthur and Birdie were great side characters and just the whole community as they came together to put on the show and ultimately support Rosie. Rosie’s friends at home were also a great reminder that true friends don’t care if you’re doing big and exciting things, they just care about you.

The narrator did a great job with the voicing of all the characters. I highly recommend enjoying this with your ears.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the audiobook copy. The thoughts and opinions in this review are my own.

This book publishes on June 10th and I definitely recommend picking it up.
