Project Apex by Michael Bray

3.0

I received this from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

So this is definitely a page-turner. It's filled with action and I was definitely interested in finding out what happened. If you're a fan of Michael Crichton or James Rollins, you will definitely enjoy this. You can definitely see this being made into a movie. There are some annoying characters and some questionable plot devices, but overall, if you like action-packed thrillers, you will probably enjoy this. I will warn you, this ends pretty abruptly. As I read it on my phone and saw myself getting closer and closer to the end, I was wondering how it was going to be resolved... it was just like when I was watching the finale of Twin Peaks and it was the scene where Dale Cooper is in the bathroom (you know the scene I mean) and I hit the pause button to see how much time was left that it could be resolved, only to see :25 left... that feeling when you know that it's not going to be neatly resolved. However, I assume that a sequel to Project Apex will be coming (hopefully sooner than the length of time it took to get the sequel to Twin Peaks), and I will definitely be reading.
