Who else here saw Raw: Rebirth was coming this year and immediately freaked out because you couldn't wait and wanted it yesterday? I know I did. I saw it pop up on my timeline and was just like must read now!! What a way to start of 2019!
Because it has been a while since I read the prior two books, Raw and Dirty, I spent the last part of 2018 frantically trying to read them so I was ready to go with Raw: Rebirth. I read something beforehand that said you have to read Raw before this story, but nothing about needing to read Dirty and while I think technically you might be able to get away with it I would read it as well. Because then you know the entire story and you get to see what most people were up to in the time between. Plus Julius and Alejandra are amazing together! I loved it! Once you have caught up on the first two books it is time to dive right in!
Raw: Rebirth was so much fun to read. These characters are amazing. I loved reading them. You know you are reading a good book when you a) what to read it as fast as you can and b) want to read it as slow as possible and savor it because it will have to end at some point. This was me with this book. I didn't want it to ever end! I could have kept reading on and on and on and on.
Twitch has finally finished up the things he needed to do and it set to return to his old life. To his other half, his loves, his home, but things aren't as easy as he had expected. It is hard to be so close and not be able to act yet. I really enjoyed reading him. You can see how much he has changed and grown and healed in the time he has been away. How he is not the same person but still is at the same time. How he is trying to be a better person and keep his anger in check, but it is difficult. He has had a not very good past, like most everyone in this story, but he has finally started to work through it. To heal so he can be the amazing person he always was just without as many issues. I loved it. I loved watching him have patience and be a dad and do all the normal everyday things he wants his new life to be.
Lexi is still the same old Lexi but better. She is tough and strong and resilient. I loved that she didn't just crumble and do whatever Twitch wanted when he comes back. How she makes him work for it and how she has to figure things out for herself first. How she is not ready to just pretend nothing happened. She was really hurt, but you know underneath that she still loves him and they will figure this out eventually. Plus she is an awesome mom now and AJ is so lucky to have these two as his parents. Plus it was nice to see all the people we met in the first two books and a bunch of great new characters we meet along the way. If you enjoyed the first two books you will probably love this one as well. I mean after Dirty how can you not want to see what happens?
