Beyond Her Manner by Emily Banting
4.0
I knew the end of this standalone series would be the perfect way to go back to reading.
Emily never disappoints. The trops and line of argument is always the same with a little twist each team, but always with a HEA, and that was exactly what I was looking for.
I love Gillian and Viola. I adore their tension and kinda enemies to friends to lovers relationship. I understand where Gillian is coming from and why she is the way she is, that makes her even more loveable.
I think it has the perfect amount of things happening and slice of life moments to process what’s going on. I love how the other characters (specially Bridget, I want a book just for Bridget thank you) are involved in the story and narrative. It has a really good rhythm too.
Above anything else I am glad I could see again the other two couples for the previous books, something I am deeply grateful for. I missed them and being able to read about their whereabouts again is definitely a bonus to the story.
